We had a skylight replaced by Tom. He did this in a timely way. His crew were very good. Tom took pictures of the roof before and as the work was being done and the completed work, which showed what was being done I recommend giving Tom a call for any of your roof repairs
My wife used Tom Jannace Roofing for the first time in 1980 when she lived in Nassau County. She was very impressed with the job he did. When she moved to Smithtown in 1997 and needed a roof on her new house, she found that Tom Jannace was licensed in Suffolk County and hired him. Recently, we found ourselves needing roof repairs. We called Tom right before Thanksgiving, renewed our acquaintance with him, and, within a week, he and his staff repaired our roof. It is a testament to his professionalism and the excellence of his work that we have used Tom Jannace Roofing three times on two houses in two counties over 40 years.

Excellent work, HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR ROOFING! Tom Jannace has been a neighbor for many years, and did our roof about 20 years ago. As it came time to replace, he was the first person I called. The price was reasonable, the workers were dedicated, and the three day process was perfect, beginning to end. The roof looks great! All debris was taken away, yard was cleaned up and left in excellent condition. Give Tom Jannace a call!

This past summer I was looking to have my roof replaced. Tom just happened to stop by one day , we talked about it and I hired him that day. I was nervous not knowing if I made the right decision. Well I made the right move, Tom and his crew did an amazing job. Their workmanship was top notch! Not only was I satisfied with the work, but Tom recommended a solar attic fan. I’ve used Tom in the past for some roof repair work. He has always been very polite and professional. Now today I noticed my siding has pulled away. Tom and his guys immediately came and repaired my issue. He was nice enough to repair my siding which was unrelated to my previous roof work. However I called him because I knew he would be willing to help me out. He even went as far as to repair my siding at no charge! Tom and his business is an absolute pleasure! Tom did our roof back in January. He was professional throughout the whole process. He came out to our house explained everything thoroughly, never pressured us, and provided a very fair quote. Tom provided a totally honest and accurate quote And timeline. He made sound suggestions and was very patient and easy to work with. We had a large water spot appear on the dining room ceiling. Tom came over and went up on the roof and found an area of the roof that was spongy as he walked on it. He suspected that it was a leak from a small skylight near the peak. He was back with a crew a couple of days later. They uncovered the damage, which was larger than expected. They replaced all the water-logged plywood, rafters and insulation. Tom searched his suppliers and was able to find shingles that so closely match the rest of the roof that you can’t see the “patch”! This was all accomplished in less than a full afternoon! He said we’ve got several more years before we’d need to replace the whole roof. You can bet we’ll have him do the job.

Can’t say enough about Tom Jannace Roofing. Tom replaced my roof in the summer of 2021, gave me a fair price and a firm start date and was on site personally throughout the project. Gave me honest advice about materials and adding ventilation, but was never trying to upsell me or be pushy about it. Needed a repair ahead of last week’s storm on a vent pipe and Tom got out to me the same day and had me patched up before the first drops fell. If you need a whole roof, a small repair, or anything in between call Tom, you won’t be sorry!
Update 7-29 Tom has been very responsive to my concerns of the drip edge among others. He was able to install a drip edge on the most vulnerable area, while extending the water\ice shield on others. His dedication to ensure I was happy with the installation is to be commended. My advice to anyone is to make sure to ask for an insist on a drip rail to be installed when getting your quote. ------------------ Update 9/20-- It seems as a standard practice, Tom Jannace Roofing does NOT install drip edges on his roof. Claims it interferes with gutter installation and they are not needed. During my inspection after 1st rainfall, the fascias were soaked. He is coming back within next few days to try to address the issue using underlayment to protect the fascia as installing a drip edge is cost prohibitive at this point (very cheep to install prior to shingle/underlayment install) If you want to use his company, you need to request drip edges unlike all other companies who install them as the default. ------------------- Had a great experience with Tom Jannace and his crew. From the initial estimate to the completion of the roof/gutters, everything went smoothly and came out great. They even cleaned some of the aluminum siding I couldn’t get access to. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new roof.

I had a roof leak that i tried to fix myself by crawling up in the attic and spraying the wet beam with a rubberized sealant. After numerous attempts i called Tom Jannace for an estimate. I showed Tom where the leak was in my ceiling. He inspected the roof and assured me that the roof was in good condition. He suspected that the leak was possibly coming from the base of my chimney. He said if you want to save money, get a few tubes of clear silicone and apply it around the chimney base. Lo and behold it worked. no more leaks. Thank you Tom for your knowledge and honesty.

Quite literally, every aspect of our experience with Tom Jannace Roofing was in line with not only what we expected, but what we wanted, and they exceeded even those levels. Tom and his son Nick were professional, experienced, and took the time to explain a variety of solutions that applied to our unique situation given our 30 yr old roof. When it came time for the job, the team was there early, and stayed until the job was done and the construction site was left immaculately clean...like they had never even been there, much to our satisfaction. In all honesty, unless you saw the work being done on the scheduled day, you'd never know that we had a full construction team up there running a full tear-off, and re-sheathing the roof right down to the decking. We have younger children and pets, and I can say we have not even found a single roofing nail left behind since the job was done. We're more than pleased with the color of the shingles, the operation of that active cooling in the attic, and the reduction in our energy costs ever since the job. We reached out to Tom Jannance Roofing for a water leak in our sunroom. Tom and his son Nick came out the same day to inspect. It turned out that the roof wasn't the problem. There was a crack in the stucco wall. Tom and Nick repaired the problem eventhough it wasn't a major job. Tom is a man of integrity. He is honest will tell you straight what the problem is and fix it if he can at a fair price. This kind of work ethic is rare thes days. My wife and I are so grateful for their help. Tom Jannace and his son Nick did an excellent job on out GAF roof installation. Skylights and gutters were also replaced. Price was very fair. The crew were neat and did a great job. Tom and Nick were at the job site almost the entire time. Would highly recommend.

Tom & his crew were great!!! Friendly, courteous & respectful. They cleaned up every part of my yard to a tee (was a bit worried with having 2 dogs who have full roam of the yard... but nothing to worry about). Price was on par with the other 3 quotes. Full rip & install in 2 days (have a larger hip roof)...all valleys done with ice barrier, re-flashed the chimney area & installed an attic fan. Very happy with the quality of work done by Tom Jannace Roofing Inc. We definitely recommend using Tom & his crew for any roof work.

Tom has roofed my house, my mom's house, my brother's house and my father in law house, over the past 7years. Never had a problem. Price competitive and easy to deal with.
Tom and his crew installed our roof, not only was his pricing reasonable the job was done fast and the crew was very clean and left no waste behind. I have had a few issues with adding solar panels and removing a skylight and he always got right back to me and gave me advice to fix the problem instead of charging me for him to do it.

After a sudden and significant water intrusion we needed a roofer to investigate right away. Tom was recommended in a Facebook inquiry through several local friends. He immediately put us on the schedule, arrived on time the next day and was as courteous and professional as we could have hoped for. In a distressful time he assured our peace of mind! We're still waiting on an evaluation through our homeowners and solar company but are hoping to work further with Tom soon! Ps. out of his own good will, there was no charge for the inspection- not promising the same for you all, but I think he sensed we had enough on our plate. Absolute stand up contractor! Tom and his team recently patched up my roof that has been constantly leaking, I've had multiple companies come over to "fix" this problem yet the problem continued. If it wasn't for Tom I would still be dealing with this every time it rained. Thank you so much guys!

Tom Jannace is by far the best choice you will make when you decide to get a new roof on your home. I put off doing a roof probably far longer than I should have, It was in pretty bad shape. I started looking around for a roofing company and asking friends and kept getting horror stories from roofers they had. My neighbor had one of those horrible roofers. The company actually left the roof half finished. Tom Jannace came to my neighbors rescue. When I saw how satisfied my neighbor was and the great work Tom and his guys did I had to call Tom and have him do my roof. Without a doubt, TJ is the best roofer you will ever find. Also one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.
